Counselling and Psychotherapy in TW9, TW2 and Online
Welcome!
Hello, I’m Kate, a counsellor and psychotherapist with 18 years experience offering a warm, compassionate space where you can explore whatever you’re going through.
Reaching out to a therapist can feel like a big step, but you don't have to have it all figured out, and I will quickly put you at ease.
Therapy is a collaborative process, a place to be heard without pressure or judgement, to make sense of your experiences, and reconnect with your own wisdom and resilience.
My Approach
Qualified in both counselling and psychotherapy, my approach is integrative, which means I draw on many therapy approaches that work well together, (Gestalt, psychodynamic, person centred, compassion focussed, CBT and mindfulness-based therapy). I’ll tailor the way I work to suit you, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach.
I typically offer short term therapy, usually up to six months. We'll explore both what's happening in your life right now and, if it feels relevant, any deeper patterns or past experiences that might be shaping how you feel today.
How Therapy Can Help
I work with adults and teenagers who may be experiencing:
Depression and low mood
Improving self-esteem and confidence
Grief and loss, including baby loss
Relationship difficulties and breakdowns
Life transitions, change, moving home, adjusting to parenthood
Midlife challenges, ageing, peri-menopause and menopause
Loneliness
Health issues
Parenting
Adult ADHD
Teenagers and young people
Personal growth and development
And other issues
You might also be struggling with something that doesn't fit neatly into a category. Therapy is for anyone who feels they could benefit from a safe space to explore what they're going through.
Whether you're looking for clarity, self-acceptance, emotional balance, or simply a way through a difficult time, or navigating change, therapy can help you make sense of things, heal, and grow into a more confident, lighter, and grounded version of yourself.
What to Expect
Our 50 minute weekly sessions (in person or online) are a calm and confidential space to slow down and reflect. You don’t need to have the right words or know where to begin; we’ll start wherever you are. My aim is to help you feel supported and understood as you find your own way forward, as you see and feel things from a new perspective.
Do get in touch to book a session. You are not alone!
